Shel SilverStein is one of my favorite children's authors.  If I'd have had the chance to meet him, I would have told him that he's one of the reasons I write for children. I didn't discover his books until I was eighteen, yet I still fell in love with Where the Sidewalk Ends.  And since I love writing for children, I must also love writing for adults . . . because really, aren't we all just children in grown-up bodies?
